Job description

Weston & Sampson CMR is seeking a Fleet Safety & Compliance Manager out of our Wilmington, MA office. Must be comfortable with occasional regional travel throughout New England and Southeast.


What you’ll do:

  • Coordinate with our Human Resources team on annual Department of Transportation Commercial Driver's License physical exams for assigned vehicle drivers.
  • Coordinate with our Human Resources team on random drug and alcohol testing for DOT and CDL drivers as needed.
  • Track annual vehicle inspections, coordinate with drivers and group managers for timely state vehicle inspections.
  • Assist Fleet Manager & Mechanics to coordinate regular vehicle maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations while tracking vehicle maintenance and due dates.
  • Coordinate vehicle incident reporting through health and safety management program.
  • Train, develop and schedule and lead safety trainings.
  • Track and maintain vehicle safety metrics.

What you will bring:

  • A minimum of 2 years fleet/vehicle safety or similar safety management experience.
  • Knowledge of applicable of mulit-state DOT, CDL, and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMSCA) regulations and requirements is preferred.
  • Multi-State fleet regulatory knowledge and experience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work in a team environment and get along with others.
  • Good writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to organize, manage and coordinate multiple assignments.
  • Knowledge of GeoTab or similar vehicle geomatic data management systems is a plus.
  • Knowledge of project management and/or safety management system programs is a plus.
  • Ability to develop, implement, and lead in-person and online training.
  • Valid driver's license.


Pay Range: $70,000-$85,000 annually depending on experience
