Job description

Overview
As a Survey Technician for Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) in our Athens, PA office, you'll join an established and growing team. You will be part of a survey field crew performing work on topographic and boundary surveys, construction stakeouts, and inspections to help our clients in the power, oil & natural gas, and varied commercial markets achieve their project and operational objectives. You will perform land survey work through the application of surveying principles and practices and use of modern survey equipment. You will operate instrumentation, clear brush, drive stakes, hold chains or rods, record data, prepare sketches and maintain equipment as needed. You will also have the opportunity to be responsible for utilizing surveying software applications to gather, retrieve and interpret important data, and performing basic survey computations. Ultimately, this position will provide a foundation for further professional development as a land surveyor.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 1-3 years survey experience preferred;
  • Associates or Bachelors Degree in Survey Engineering, Geomatic Engineering, or other related field preferred;
  • Ability to operate motorized equipment and possession of sufficient physical stamina to work outdoors under various field conditions;
  • Valid Driver's License.
