Geoint Remote information

What are some common challenges faced by GEOINT Remote professionals, and how can they be addressed?

GEOINT Remote professionals often encounter challenges related to data integration, ensuring the accuracy of geospatial intelligence from disparate sources, and dealing with large volumes of satellite imagery and sensor data. Collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams—such as analysts, IT specialists, and field operators—is crucial to overcoming these hurdles. Utilizing advanced analytical tools, maintaining strong communication channels, and staying updated with evolving geospatial technologies are key strategies for success in this role.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a GEOINT Remote Analyst, and why are they important?

To thrive as a GEOINT Remote Analyst, you need expertise in geospatial analysis, remote sensing, and geographic information systems (GIS), typically supported by a degree in geography, geospatial sciences, or a related field. Familiarity with tools such as ArcGIS, ERDAS IMAGINE, and remote sensing platforms, as well as relevant security clearances, is often required. Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and effective communication skills are essential soft skills for interpreting complex imagery and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. These skills ensure accurate intelligence assessments and support critical decision-making in defense, security, and disaster response operations.

Mission Intelligence Group is seeking a MidLevel Infrastructure Services Engineer to support enterprise engineering and infrastructure solutions across complex GEOINT environments. This role enables missioncritical capabilities across the National System of GeospatialIntelligence (NSG), Allied System of GeospatialIntelligence (ASG), and Federal partners to ensure reliable and timely GEOINT delivery.

Your Role

As an Infrastructure Services Engineer, you will apply a multidiscipline systems engineering approach to design, integrate, and sustain infrastructure and services across cloud, onpremise, and hybrid environments. You will collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to translate mission needs into technical solutions while supporting system performance, scalability, and resilience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct requirements engineering, solutions engineering, integration, testing, and sustainment activities across NSG, ASG, and Federal Agency environments
  • Perform requirements and architecture traceability to improve or automate existing systems and workflows
  • Analyze cloud service capabilities, scheduling constraints, and system performance to support infrastructure optimization
  • Develop solution designs based on requirements analysis and emerging technologies
  • Assist in translating mission and customer needs into system and capability requirements
  • Support allocation of requirements to systems architecture components and executing programs
  • Assist with systems integration activities across distributed environments
  • Support Analysis of Alternatives (AoAs), Courses of Action (CoAs), trade studies, and engineering assessments
  • Contribute to technical planning, project management, performance engineering, risk management, and interface design
  • Mentor Junior Engineers and support development of engineering best practices

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Systems Engineering or a related STEM field, or:
    • 6+ years of experience as a Systems Engineer in lieu of a degree
  • 6+ years of experience in government or industry supporting:
    • DoD / IC Acquisition, Requirements, or PPBES processes, or
    • Systems engineering of largescale SystemofSystems or ServiceOriented Architecture (SOA) environments in cloud, onpremise, or hybrid infrastructures
  • Active TS/SCI clearance, with ability to obtain SCI and successfully pass a polygraph

Desired Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of ModelBased Systems Engineering (MBSE) processes, tools, and languages
  • Working knowledge of software development frameworks
  • Documented experience supporting geospatial intelligence mission environments
  • Membership or active participation in professional organizations, such as:
    • ACSM
