Under the direction of the Donor Group Recruitment Manager, performs assigned tasks and/or projects related to the Field Sales and Marketing Internship. This internship for the field sales team assists with campus territories and builds community awareness in support of our blood collection needs and inspiring new donors to join our mission. Field Sales and Marketing Interns develop successful strategies to pursue new partnerships and create awareness and education within, but not limited to, Diverse Community and University Groups to source and qualify new accounts while also working in partnership with Account Representatives and existing accounts to execute productive blood drive programs with partnering organizations. Along with fellow intern cohorts, this role provides the opportunity to participate in several projects that have a measurable impact on our business while being coached and mentored by Versiti Professionals in each area. Compensation decisions take into account internal salary averages and differentiation based on education, experience, skills, and performance. Responsibilities
  • Actively prospects and networks to continually add new, productive blood drive opportunities.
  • Shadowing blood drive process with new account build and calendar requirements
  • On-site recruits as need or required; hosts sign up tables and supports event drives, will include some evening and/or weekend hours
  • Create community awareness and development though social media outreach (establish relationships and post drive information)
  • Provides education and support for mission awareness
  • Prepares and conducts presentations to community groups
  • Develops and maintains relationships with community organizations and community advocates
  • Works with marketing/communications to identify blood drive programs and prepares content needed to support defined strategies
  • Meets project timelines, is organized and timely with follow up
  • Utilizes Pipeline tracker and keeps up-to-date contact information for key points of contact and interactions had
  • Participate in cross functional CapStone Intern Project with report out to Executive Leadership.
  • Maintains effective communication with internal and external stakeholder via email, phone and in person meetings.
  • Participate and contribute to department meetings, execute on goals and objectives to deliver outstanding results.
  • Assists with special projects as assigned.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties in this job classification
  • Understands and performs in accordance with all applicable regulatory and compliance requirements
  • Complies with all standard operating policies and procedures
Qualifications

Education

  • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college/university program in a related field of the internship required

Experience

  • Completed a minimum of 2 years in college/university in a related field of study for the internship preferred
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills preferred
  • A current valid driver's license and good driving record required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Effective communication skills preferred
  • Ability to be customer-focused and follow through on requests promptly preferred
  • Strong organizational skills preferred
  • Ability to quickly and accurately understand instructions and then work independently on assignments preferred
  • Ability to handle confidential information appropriately preferred
