Job Title: Front of House Manager Status: Exempt/Salary

Under the direction of the General Manager, the Front of House (FOH) Manager is responsible for overseeing all guest-facing operations at Genki Diner, with an exceptional guest experience as the top priority. This role leads FOH staff, maintains service standards, and ensures smooth day-to-day operations while upholding the brand’s commitment to quality, hospitality, and the spirit of aloha in a fast-paced, modern diner environment.

General Duties:
  • Oversee daily front-of-house operations including dining room service, host stand, and guest relations
  • Lead, train, and supervise FOH team members to deliver consistent, high-quality service
  • Ensure a welcoming, clean, and organized environment aligned with Genki Diner’s brand standards
  • Manage guest feedback and resolve concerns promptly and professionally
  • Coordinate with BOH (Back of House) to ensure seamless service flow
  • Uphold company policies, procedures, and service standards
  • Supervise service during operating hours to ensure efficiency and guest satisfaction
  • Monitor staffing levels and adjust schedules based on business needs
  • Train and mentor staff on service techniques, menu knowledge, and hospitality standards
  • Handle guest complaints and escalations with professionalism and urgency
  • Conduct daily pre-shift meetings to communicate goals, specials, and service expectations
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations
