These professionals conduct advanced research to understand the structure, function, and regulation of genes, often working in academic, clinical, or biotechnology settings. Their expertise is crucial for advancements in medicine, agriculture, and environmental science. Earning a Genetics PhD typically involves several years of specialized coursework and original research culminating in a dissertation.
