Job description

JOB SUMMARY
The R&D Scientist III plays a critical role in driving experimental execution and innovation within NGS platforms for diagnostic enhancements. This position requires advanced skillsets in experimental design, data interpretation, and technical documentation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITES
  • Design and perform specific experiments in support of R&D projects in NGS, Molecular, Cytogenetics or Biochemical Genetics platforms.
  • Work with clinical team to validate and transfer tests to clinical diagnostic workflows
  • Work with Product Development Team to plan and execute R&D strategies
  • Assist with laboratory training and education of external team
  • Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Perform clinical tests as needed after proper training
  • Prepare validation materials for review in adherence to regulatory agencies and requirements
  • Conduct routine lab duties as assigned by supervisor/manager/lab director

QUALIFICATIONS
Required
โ€ข Education: Ph.D. in Biological Sciences with 5+years of industry experience or equivalent.
โ€ข Experience: Extensive expertise in NGS and molecular biology techniques.
COMPETENCIES
  • Demonstrated success in technical documentation
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during test design, optimization and validation
  • Programming skills, Bioinformatics, SQL and database knowledge is a plus
