Job description

Job Title: Lab Technician
Location: Chanhassen, MN
Contractor Work Model: Onsite
Hours: M-F 8am-5pm
Compensation: $20.00 - $23.00/hr
Type: Contract, Potential for extension or conversion to permanent
Responsibilities
  • Perform mechanical, electrical, and thermal properties testing of thermal interface materials and coatings under supervision, with a high level of initiative and independence.
  • Evaluate, collect, and record experimental data accurately.
  • Organize and conduct experiments following established procedures, and summarize/report results in laboratory notebooks or PowerPoint presentations.
  • Use a computer to input data, including charts and tables for communication of project results.
  • Assist in laboratory activities such as safety adherence, data entry, and experiment setup.

Requirements
  • 1-3 years of laboratory experience or relevant technical background.
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to understand and follow experimental protocols to preserve data integrity.
  • Experience working with toxic chemicals while following safe laboratory practices.
  • Ability to stand for most of the day during laboratory work.
  • Associates or Bachelor's degree in a technical field; degrees in materials science, mechanical, civil, structural, chemical engineering are a plus.
  • Basic experience in lab/workshop settings, understanding of safety protocols, attention to detail, and willingness to learn and train.
