Job description

POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCHER: The Department of Neurology seeks a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join a dynamic translational research laboratory forcused on glioblastoma metabolism and molecular neuro-oncology. The successful candidate will work closely with a MD/PhD. Assistant Professor of Neurology to investivate the molecular mechanisms driving glioblastoma development, progression, and treatment response. The position requires a strong scientific background, the ability to execute experiments, analyze and interpret complex data and contribute to scientific publications.

We are seeking a motivated scientist with interest and expertise in molecular biology and/or molecular neuro-oncology. Several ongoing projects in this capacity involve the study of glioblastoma metabolism. This post-doctoral fellow will work directly with a MD/PhD Assistant Professor of Neurology and will independently and collaboratively perform laboratory and investigate procedures. Suitable applicants should have experience in techniques in molecular biology and/or animal colony work as describe. The role performs various assays, imaging experiments, and other technical duties to assist with the research activities of the laboratory. Additionally, the role requires duties pertaining to general maintenance of the lab and lab organization.
