Position Summary:

The Tax Analyst will assist with preparation and filing of Canadian and US Excise and other transaction tax returns. They will participate in tax research, audits, and other department projects. This is a full-time position with an option for Hybrid work upon completion of requisite training. Successful applicant could be based in Englewood, CO.

Position Responsibilities:

· Prepare and file U.S. and Canadian sales, excise, and other transaction tax returns

· Prepare tax working papers and reconciliations and investigate discrepancies

· Provide tax and audit support to Core-Mark’s warehouses in the US and Canada

· Prepare and submit tax payment requests

· Conduct tax research as required, prepare appropriate documentation

· Develop and maintain strong working relationships with warehouse and corporate personnel

· Proactively seek opportunities for process improvement, data management opportunities and other efficiencies

· Participate in Tax Department projects, as assigned

· Potential for travel – within Canada and US

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 2 years of accounting and/or tax experience
• Experience in managing tax-related projects and teams.
• Knowledge of MS Office and accounting software.
