Role Overview

PIC Canada, a Genus Company, has an exciting opportunity. We are looking for a highly motivated 

Account Manager, Swine Sales (Manitoba, Canada) to join our team and drive sustainable growth by building strong customer partnerships across assigned regions.

In this role, you will be responsible for delivering and selling the PIC value proposition, building strong customer relationships, and driving profitability through strategic account management. You will partner closely with customers to understand their business needs and provide tailored solutions that enhance performance and long-term success.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, culturally diverse environment and is equally comfortable working independently and collaborating across cross-functional teams. A strong communicator and influencer, you will engage stakeholders at all levels, effectively present solutions, and negotiate outcomes that create mutual value. You bring a strategic mindset, strong analytical skills, and the ability to identify opportunities, solve problems, and drive results.

The preferred location for the position is in Manitoba, Canada. Travel approximately 50%, domestic and occasionally international.

The salary range for this position is between $80,000-125,000 CAD with commission opportunity. The amount provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. Genus considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

You Will
  • Develop and maintain favorable relationships with new and existing clients to increase revenue.
  • Identify Customer Needs: Listen to customers' problems and needs and present products or services that can help; ensure that organizational goods or services consistently meet client needs.
  • Create and manage budget and forecasts for area of responsibility.
  • Negotiate, sustain and renew customer contracts.
  • Resolve customer issues/problems: Resolve customer issues/problems, research and make recommendations for potential product enhancements or modifications to increase sales.
  • Communicate and sell the value proposition to customers and prospects.
  • Identify, target and converts prospects and opportunities to new business.
  • Develop an account plan and effectively utilize internal resources to implement necessary actions to achieve growth and profitability in assigned accounts and area of responsibility.
  • Identify the potential market area to develop a plan of penetration.
Requirements

Basic Qualifications: (required)

  • A university degree in Animal Science or related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in swine sales including pig production, with the understanding production metrics, business impact and financial management.
  • Proven track record of developing, managing, and delivering against annual budgets, as well as successfully leading cross-functional account teams.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Dynamics and Sales software, such as Power BI and Customer Engagement.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts and stakeholders at multiple levels within customer organizations.
  • Strong negotiation, influencing, and contract management skills, with the ability to drive mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Proven strategic thinking and account planning capabilities, including identifying growth opportunities, managing pipelines, and executing customer-specific strategies.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate value propositions and deliver impactful customer engagements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and translate insights into actionable solutions.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across internal functions such as technical, operations, and commercial teams.
  • High level of organization and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Authorized to work in Canada without sponsorship.
