Job description

Survs mission is to build stronger communities through service, by bridging social gaps and meeting the needs of our neighbors. Specifically, we connect an aging population with local workers to complete honey-do lists.


About the role:

Locals (contracted laborers) are Survs driving force; the representatives for Surv going into customers homes to complete odd jobs and make meaningful connections in our Communities. Since we are actively recruiting for this evergreen role, Surv is seeking a local Recruitment Intern in each market to assist in face-to-face and laser-focused recruiting efforts to consistently keep our markets fully staffed and thriving.


You will be responsible for:

  • Boots-on-the-ground local recruitment: Posting recruitment marketing material in high-traffic areas throughout the Community

  • Career fairs: Booking, setting up, attending, career fairs for all positions in the company Surv may be hiring for

  • Networking and outreach: Foster relationships with community members to build referral partnerships for sourcing candidates long term

  • Interviews: Conduct in person and virtual interviews for new Locals, as well as other corporate roles as needed

  • Job ads & applicant tracking: Maintain candidate profile status, add notes, and move candidates through the onboarding process.

  • Ambassador of the brand: Offer quality strategies that are consistent with brand and mission

  • Cold call & candidate sourcing: Cold outreach as required, as well as willingness to be on the phone frequently. Ability to creatively find passive candidates.

How you will be supported:

  • HR Department: The intern will be active participants with the remote HR department team members. Directives and strategy will be identified by the HR Director, our remote HR recruiters, and contributions from the intern in this role.

  • Marketing Department: The Digital Marketing Manager and Content Marketing Manager will provide both print and digital collateral for brand consistency.

  • Field Operations Department: The Intern will communicate frequently with our Community Manager and Growth Manager to clarify weekly/monthly Local recruitment goals.

Requirements:

  • Alignment with our Mission and Core Values: Agape, Community, Growth Mindset, Finish Strong, and Full Life

  • Technology: Must have a smartphone and laptop. (A laptop may be able to be leased from Surv.)

  • Software: Familiarity with G-Suite/Google Drive

Applicable areas of study: Students pursuing a Business, Sociology, or Psychology degree, and those with an emphasis in HR, would excel in this role


Additional Details:

  • Location: Remote and work locally within the community. This role will involve commuting within a 25-30 mile radius in this city

  • Compensation: Hourly; specific rate would depend on the candidate experience

  • Hours: 20-25 hours per week
