Class A CDL Driver - Midland/Odessa Area
Smart Chemical Solutions is seeking experienced Class A CDL Chemical Drivers based in the Midland/Odessa area to join our Genesis Logistics division. This role involves bulk chemical transfers with operations centered in Midland, TX. Most routes consist of inbound deliveries to Texas manufacturing facilities or outbound deliveries to oilfield regions across Texas, New Mexico, Louisiana, and Oklahoma, with occasional routes throughout North America.
Duties
  • Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles, including manual transmission trucks, across assigned routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • Transport freight using various trailer types such as flatbeds and tankers
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to identify maintenance needs or safety issues.
  • Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and route details in compliance with DOT regulations.
  • Follow route schedules diligently to ensure timely deliveries while managing multiple stops effectively.
  • Communicate professionally with dispatchers, customers, and team members regarding delivery status or any issues encountered during routes.

Requirements
  • Minimum 25 years of age
  • Clean MVR and background check
  • 1 year of verifiable CMV experience in oilfield or OTR driving
  • Class A CDL
  • HazMat Endorsement

Driving Record Standards
  • Maximum of 2 moving violations in the past 36 months
  • Must maintain an acceptable Safety and Conduct record
  • No drug or alcohol-related violations in the past 5 years

Supplemental Pay
  • Orientation and computer-based refresher training pay
  • TWIC & HazMat renewal reimbursement
  • Medical Examiner's Certificate renewal reimbursement

Experience
  • Commercial Driving: 1 year (Required)

License/Certification
  • Class A CDL (Required)

  • Tanker Endorsement (Required)
  • TWIC Card (Preferred)
