What You'll Do

  • Perform timely repairs and maintenance on diesel generators, and associated equipment (Towable generators)
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot diesel engines, electrical systems, generators, and other components
  • Test and operate vehicles and equipment to ensure all systems function properly
  • Conduct preventive maintenance and inspections to maintain safety and reliability
  • Ensure equipment meets safety and compliance standards
  • Accurately document repairs and complete work orders
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including your tools and equipment
  • Follow all safety procedures and company policies
  • Collaborate with supervisors and team members to support fleet and equipment operations

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years' of hands-on experience repairing diesel equipment, generators, and associated components
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills on diesel engines, generators, and related equipment
  • Experience testing and operating vehicles and equipment to verify proper function
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to own and maintain the personal tools and toolbox required for the role
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness and ability to meet the physical demands of the position (detailed below)
  • Must be eligible to pass standard pre-employment screenings, including drug screen and DOT physical (if required)

Working Conditions

This role involves working in a mobile, outside and/or shop environment with exposure to dust, diesel fumes, noise, and mechanical materials such as oils and greases. Technicians must be able to perform essential job functions that include frequent movement such as standing, walking, climbing, bending, and sitting for extended periods, as well as lifting heavy objects and accessing tight or confined spaces. This position requires regular use of hands to grasp, reach, handle, and operate tools and equipment. Technicians may be required to work at heights using ladders or elevated platforms and must be able to safely perform duties in various weather conditions. Due to the active work environment and movement of large vehicles, the ability to see and hear sufficiently to safely navigate the workspace is required.
