About this role:


We are seeking a Service Electrician/Generator Technician to manage and perform electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs, with a focus on residential systems and generator services. In this role, you will troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues, install and service generator systems, and ensure all work adheres to safety standards and codes. You will interact with customers to diagnose problems, recommend solutions, and provide high-quality service. Strong technical skills, experience with generator systems, and effective communication are essential for success in this position.


In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Understanding and working with electricity, electrical systems, motor control systems, and process control instrumentation.
  • Conducting maintenance, service, and repairs across a range of areas including plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering, machine servicing, and electrical systems.
  • Assembling, installing, testing, and maintaining electrical wiring and equipment to ensure proper function and safety.
  • Performing light maintenance tasks on electrical systems, plumbing, and HVAC/R units.
  • Supporting the repair and maintenance of manufacturing equipment, including hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
  • Inspecting electrical systems and components to identify hazards or defects and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
  • Diagnosing and repairing electrical malfunctions, particularly in lighting circuits.
  • Additional duties as assigned.ย ย 

Required Qualifications:

  • Generac certification
  • ย Valid driver's license and clean driving recordย 
  • A high school diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Experience with generator systems.
  • Extensive knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems.
  • Advanced understanding of general maintenance procedures and techniques.
  • Physical capability to perform the job duties and availability for overtime, including weekends, public holidays, and evenings.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Well-organized with strong task prioritization skills.

The physical requirements of this job include:

  • Lifting 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally
  • Climbing ladders, accessing attics, navigating tight spaces, driving, entering crawlspaces, pushing, carrying, pulling, using hand tools, and performing fine detail work.
  • Ability to drive.
  • Working in various environments, including indoor and outdoor settings, attics, crawlspaces.
  • Ability to stand, walk and sit; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone.
  • Use hands to handle or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms.ย 
  • Regularly stoop, kneel, bend, and crouch.
  • The work requires regular exposure to extreme temperatures both indoors and outdoors, such as heat or cold, and adverse weather conditions such as wind, rain, ice or snow.
