  • Install whole-home standby generators and transfer switches
  • Perform proper load calculations and circuit planning
  • Coordinate electrical tie-ins, grounding, and bonding
  • Ensure all work meets NEC, local codes, and manufacturer specs
  • Work alongside gas/propane providers and inspectors when needed
✅ Commissioning & Startup
  • Perform full system commissioning after install
  • Program controllers and set operating parameters
  • Verify voltage, frequency, and transfer operation
  • Test under load conditions
  • Educate homeowners on operation and safety
✅ Preventative Maintenance
  • Conduct scheduled maintenance services
  • Oil, filter, spark plug, and battery replacement
  • Cooling system and fuel system inspections
  • Transfer switch testing
  • System health reporting
✅ Diagnostics & Troubleshooting
  • Diagnose no-start, no-transfer, fault codes, and performance issues
  • Interpret controller data and error logs
  • Identify electrical, mechanical, and control failures
  • Perform root-cause analysis
✅ Repairs & Upgrades
  • Repair generators, ATS systems, controls, and wiring
  • Replace failed components and sensors
  • Upgrade older systems to current standards
  • Restore systems to full operational readiness

  • Journeyman/Master Electrician (or equivalent experience)

 Coordinate with utility service providers and local code officials to ensure proper guidelines are established.Responsible for adhering to all OSHA safety standards and regulations including the use of proper PPE at all timesKeep truck clean, stocked and accurately inventoried
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Have a minimum of 2 to 5 years of verifiable work experience in the Electrical industry with Residential Generator maintenance, repair, and installation experience.Must be highly detail-oriented due to the nature of the electrical field to ensure safety for fellow technicians, self, and property.Must be team-orientedAbility to communicate effectively with customers and fellow coworkers
 Requirements:A High School diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.Apprenticeship Certification Preferred but not required
Journeyman License Preferred but not required.Valid driver’s license, and approved to drive by Company’s insurance carrier.Willing to work hours outside of normal work schedule at times and on call schedule periodically You should apply if:
