We are a locally owned residential electrical service company backed by a nationally recognized home-services brand. We are hiring a highly experienced Michigan Journeyman Electrician with strong technical ability, sound troubleshooting skills, and the confidence to work independently.
Residential service experience is valuable, but we are also interested in experienced commercial, industrial, maintenance, generator, construction, and service electricians who are ready to apply their skills in a professional residential environment.

What You’ll Do
- Troubleshoot, repair, replace, maintain, and install residential electrical systems.
- Diagnose complex electrical problems using sound testing and troubleshooting methods.
- Complete panel replacements, service upgrades, branch-circuit repairs, device replacements, fixture installations, and other residential electrical work.
- Inspect electrical systems for safety, code, and performance concerns.
- Explain technical findings and recommended solutions clearly to homeowners.
- Complete work safely and in accordance with the NEC, local codes, and company standards.
- Document jobs accurately using notes, photos, invoices, and mobile technology.
- Protect the customer’s home and maintain a clean, professional work area.
- Help establish technical standards and best practices for a growing electrical operation.
- Support and mentor future electricians and apprentices as the team expands.
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for a technically strong journeyman who takes pride in doing electrical work correctly.
The ideal candidate may come from residential service, commercial construction, industrial maintenance, generators, facilities, controls, or another skilled electrical environment. What matters most is strong electrical knowledge, independent problem-solving, professionalism, and a willingness to learn our residential-service process.
You do not need to be an experienced salesperson. You must be able to explain what you found, answer homeowner questions, and recommend safe, appropriate solutions.
Qualifications
- Active Michigan Journeyman Electrician license required
- Extensive electrical field experience
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic ability
- Strong knowledge of the NEC and applicable state and local codes
- Experience with panels, feeders, circuits, wiring methods, grounding, bonding, and electrical testing
- Ability to work independently and make sound field decisions
- Residential, commercial, industrial, generator, maintenance, or service experience
- Crew-lead, foreman, mentoring, or training experience is a plus
- Professional communication skills and willingness to work in occupied homes
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to use a tablet or mobile device for job documentation
- Dependable, organized, safety-focused, and interested in helping build a team
