Controls Engineer
Houston, TX
Fulltime


What You will Do:
 

  • Program, test, and debug control logic on multiple PLC platforms.
  • Implement subsystem interfaces and data exchange with supervisory control systems.
  • Develop logic for sequencing, interlocks, alarms, and fault handling.
  • Implement fail‑safe behavior, including communication‑loss detection.
  • Support HMI integration through PLC tags, diagnostics, and control logic.
  • Participate in system integration, FAT, commissioning, and troubleshooting.

What You Will Bring:

  • Experience with power generation systems or rotating equipment controls.
  • Exposure to alternator protection/synchronization and SCR systems.
  • Experience with Simulink PLC Coder
  • Factory Acceptance Test, Site Acceptance Tests (FAT/SAT) and field commissioning experience.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical, Controls, or related engineering field.
  • 10+ years of industrial PLC programming experience.
  • Experience with multiple PLC platforms and industrial control systems.
  • Strong understanding of sequencing, state‑based control, and fault handling.
