Job description

Description:

We are in search of a self-motivated individual to join our installation team as an Installation Technician. This role is crucial in ensuring our customers receive reliable and efficient generator installations. Therefore, a solid understanding of either electrical or gas piping is a prerequisite. You will be responsible for installing, connecting, and testing generators, automatic transfer switches, electrical services, and other equipment. You will be required to measure, cut and bend wire and conduit using measuring instruments and hand tools. Installation crews maintain company provided tools, vehicles, and equipment, which the company provides. Clearly and concisely document all work completed on an iPad.


Job Duties

  • Assist lead technician with daily installations and repairs of electrical systems.
  • Work closely with the lead technician to ensure that work is completed and job site is clean.
  • Organizes work by receiving and studying work orders; gathering tools and supplies.
  • Repairs electrical problems by replacing faulty parts and components.
  • Maintains safe work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with codes.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading technical publications.
  • Tests electrical systems to ensure proper installation and operation.
  • Inspects electrical systems to determine whether repairs are needed.
  • Replaces conduit and wiring as needed.
  • Complete special projects and perform other related duties as assigned.
