Job Purpose: The Warehouse Associate supports the efficient operation of the warehouse by accurately receiving, storing, and distributing products and materials. This role ensures inventory is properly organized, orders are prepared and fulfilled on time, and workplace safety standards are consistently maintained. By keeping goods moving smoothly and securely, the Warehouse Associate plays a key part in meeting customer expectations and supporting overall business success.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

β€’Β Β  Β Verify the accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments by comparing contents with associated documentation such as manifests, invoices, or orders
β€’Β Β  Β Prepare and process shipping documents including work orders, bills of lading, and shipping orders to ensure proper routing of materials
β€’Β Β  Β Determine appropriate shipping methods based on knowledge of procedures, routes, and rates
β€’Β Β  Β Record shipment details such as weight, charges, space availability, and any damages or discrepancies for reporting and recordkeeping purposes
β€’Β Β  Β Label packed cartons with appropriate shipping information
β€’Β Β  Β Constructs wooden or cardboard containers, or selects appropriate preassembled containers, to ensure safe and efficient packaging of items for shipmentΒ 
β€’Β Β  Β Pack items securely using spacers, fillers, and protective padding to prevent damage during transit
β€’Β Β  Β Unpack and inspect incoming shipments, documenting any shortages, missing items, or damages
