Monster Tree Service of Montgomery County has a dynamic opportunity for a General Manager who will oversee daily operations,is responsible for safety, sales, and P&L delivery, customer satisfaction, and employee engagement while upholding the ethical standards and reputation of the organization in the community.
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily operations and create efficiencies: crews, equipment, and supplies.
  • Provide training and guidance to field crews in accordance with ANSI and company standards.
  • Monitor crew productivity to ensure goals and targets are being met.
  • Manage fleet and equipment repair and maintenance.
  • Must be familiar with industry safety standards and procedures and is willing to enforce these standards as well as company safety policies.
  • Coordinate with the Sales Arborist to create a daily work schedule for field personnel.
  • Assist the owners with overflow sales estimates.
  • Responsible for the hiring and supervision of all field employees.
  • Coordinate training to ensure all field personnel is properly trained, licensed, etc.

Qualifications:
  • Degree in Business Management or Arboriculture, Forestry, Environmental Sciences, or equivalent experience preferred
  • MD Tree Expert License required.
  • MD or VA Pesticide license required
  • CTSP and/or ISA Certification desired but not required
  • Management and sales experience in the tree care industry experience preferred
  • Successful candidates will excel in logistics and have experience in the day-to-day operations of a business, preferably in the tree care or landscape industries
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, prior experience training employees is preferred
  • Strong leadership skills: must demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate with employees, customers, and management
  • A clean/valid driver's license
