Job description

Job Title: General Manager / Operating Partner Are you ready to lead a dynamic team in the Food & Beverage industry? We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced General Manager to oversee all aspects of our restaurant operations. As a key leader, you will ensure smooth daily operations, uphold our high company standards, and drive team success with a focus on guest satisfaction. Responsibilities & Expectations
  • Serve as the primary leader of the restaurant and take ownership of its day-to-day operations, financial performance, employee performance, guest experience, facility condition and compliance with company standards
  • Supervise daily operations in all areas of the restaurant to ensure everything runs smoothly
  • Lead by example, fostering a positive & professional work environment
  • Implement, Monitor and Enforce operational procedures & policies
  • Ensure exceptional Customer Service and Customer Satisfaction
  • Address & Resolve operational challenges and unexpected issues that arise in an effective & timely manner
  • Provide team members with guidance, training and support to ensure food quality, plating presentation and overall consistency of food execution meets company standards
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations, coaching sessions, and disciplinary actions when appropriate
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and food safety
  • Maintain appropriate staffing levels through proactive recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training, and retention efforts
  • Manage employee schedules based on forecasted sales and business needs to maintain appropriate service levels while achieving established labor-cost and productivity targets
  • Oversee ordering, inventory management and control food & beverage costs
  • Maintain relationships with suppliers, distributors and/or representatives to ensure the business is in good standing at all times
  • Ensure accurate cash handling, deposits, safe controls, refunds, discounts, voids, comps, and other financial transactions in accordance with company policy
  • Gather and analyze customer feedback to make improvements and enhance the dining experience
  • Review sales, labor, food cost, and other financial reports and take corrective action when performance falls outside established targets
  • Develop & execute action plans to achieve gross sales, profitability, labor, and cost-control targets
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including health and safety standards
  • Ensure compliance with liquor regulations
  • Conduct regular inspections of the restaurant facility and equipment to ensure they are in good working order and coordinate with approved vendors and/or company leadership regarding repairs and maintenance when necessary
  • Perform other duties & responsibilities reasonably associated with the General Manager position or assigned based on the operational needs of the business
Job Requirements
  • Proven experience in managing restaurant operations & financial performance, including labor costs, food costs, inventory, budgeting and overall profitability
  • Working knowledge of food safety, sanitation, workplace safety, and applicable employment practices
  • Excellent service orientation and social perceptiveness
  • Effective time management and coordination skills
  • Experience recruiting, training, coaching, and managing employees and subordinate managers
  • Ability to communicate effectively with employees, customers, vendors, and company leadership
  • Problem sensitivity & critical thinking skills, with the ability to prioritize competing operational demands
  • Ability to use restaurant POS systems, scheduling software, inventory systems, email, spreadsheets, and other business technology
  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, which include prolonged periods of standing and walking throughout scheduled shifts
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours when necessary
