Job Description
Position Summary
The Regional Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and performance of multiple janitorial accounts within an assigned region. This leadership role manages Area Managers and Supervisors, ensuring exceptional service delivery, customer satisfaction, employee development, and operational efficiency. The Regional Manager will travel regularly to customer sites to conduct inspections, meet with clients, and support field management teams.
Salary: Is negotiable based on experience.
Hours: 45+ hours a week; M-F with occasional weekend hours required
Location: Lenexa, KS (this is not a remote position)
Job: Full-Time
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to Area Managers and Site Supervisors.
  • Ensure all janitorial contracts are performed according to company standards and client expectations.
  • Conduct routine site inspections and quality audits to maintain high service levels.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients by addressing concerns and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate management staff.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and OSHA standards.
  • Develop and implement corrective action plans to improve operational performance.
  • Manage labor costs, supply usage, equipment, and operational budgets.
  • Review performance metrics and prepare operational reports for senior leadership.
  • Coordinate with Human Resources on employee relations, disciplinary actions, and performance management.
  • Support business growth by assisting with new account start-ups, transitions, and special projects.
  • Respond promptly to customer concerns and operational emergencies, including after-hours when necessary.
  • Travel throughout the assigned region to support operations and conduct regular site visits.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of management experience in the janitorial, facilities management, or commercial cleaning industry.
  • Experience managing multiple locations and supervising managers and field personnel.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and operational reporting systems.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass background screening as required.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to walk, stand, climb stairs, and inspect facilities for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds occasionally.
  • Must be able to travel extensively within the assigned region.

Travel Requirements
  • Frequent regional travel (approximately 50-75%) is required.
  • Occasional overnight travel may be necessary based on business needs.
