Job description

At Ko-Kwel Casino Resort, we know the best experiences start with a warm welcome. Whether you're arriving for a relaxing getaway or clocking in for your shift. Here, hospitality is personal, teamwork is real, and people genuinely look out for one another. When you join our team, you're stepping into a workplace where you can learn, grow, and take pride in creating memorable moments across the entire property. We bring energy, heart, and professionalism to everything we do, by building not only unforgettable guest experiences, but a workplace we're proud to call our own.
Be part of a team that's shaping one of the premier destinations for gaming and hospitality. A place where guests and team members alike feel right at home on Oregon's beautiful southern coast and beyond.
Why this job matters
The Player Services Associate is often the very first and very last impression a guest has of Bear Creek Golf Course. This role is about more than checking people in or ringing up a sale-it's about creating a welcoming, upbeat, and seamless golf experience that makes players want to come back again and again. As part of the Ko-Kwel Casino Resort family, this position helps connect hospitality, recreation, and community into one great day on the course.
What you bring to the table
  • Make sure the space stays safe, clean, and friendly for both guests and the rest of the team; speak up and report any safety concerns to the Safety Committee.
  • A friendly, professional presence that helps golfers and guests feel welcomed and taken care of from the moment they arrive.
  • Help keep all bays clean and ready for guests by ensuring they are cleaned after each hour before seating the next group.
  • Confidence handling point-of-sale transactions, tee time bookings, and cash reconciliation accurately.
  • The ability to answer questions about the course, driving range, Toptracer bays, events, and general operations.
  • Care and attention when stocking, organizing, and maintaining pro shop merchandise and inventory.
  • Flexibility to assist with league play, tournaments, and special events as needed.
  • Pride in keeping the pro shop, service areas, and guest-facing spaces clean, organized, and inviting.
  • Willingness to jump in where needed and adapt to changing daily priorities.
  • Support other BCGC staff by assisting with serving, as needed.
  • Jump in where needed to support the team and keep things running smoothly. (Other duties as assigned)
Must-haves, nice-to-haves, and maybe some bonus points
  • Friendly and approachable attitude that helps guests (and the team) feel welcome and cared for every day.
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • A genuine enjoyment of working with people and creating positive guest experiences
  • Previous customer service or cashiering experience in hospitality, retail, or service environments
  • Familiarity with golf, golf course operations, or willingness to learn quickly
  • Comfort using point-of-sale systems, reservation software, and basic technology
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to stay calm and professional during busy periods
  • Reliable transportation and consistent attendance
  • Food Handler and OLCC certifications (or willingness to obtain them)
  • Attention to detail, good judgment, and a team-first mindset
  • Bonus points if you already know your way around golf equipment, merchandise, or driving range technology
  • Must pass and remain in compliance with Coquille Gaming Commission background check and drug free workplace policies.
  • Comfortable communicating clearly and positively with both guests and teammates.
Physical stuff to know
We've included the typical physical parts of the job here. If you need an accommodation to do the work, just let us know-we're here to support you. This role requires being on your feet for most of the shift, with regular walking, standing, reaching, bending, and light physical activity throughout the day. You'll occasionally lift and carry items weighing up to 25 pounds and may work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Scheduling may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs. This is a quick summary of the main duties and requirements-it might not cover everything you could be asked to do.
Ko-Kwel Casino Resort is owned by the Coquille Indian Tribe. Team members are eligible for a comprehensive health care benefit, generous time off policy, 401-K retirement with 4% company match and other benefits.
