Position Summary

We are seeking aGeneral Laborerto join our Operations team. This role is critical in supporting the assembly and shipping of custom HVAC equipment, ensuring quality standards, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in manufacturing, strong mechanical aptitude, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.


Hours of Work

  • Monday to Thursday: 6:00 am - 3:30 pm
  • Friday: 6:00 am - 2:30 pm


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform general maintenance tasks and assist with assembly of HVAC components
  • Install brackets and prepare units for shipping
  • Operate forklifts to move parts and materials safely
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of outdoor and indoor work areas
  • Measure, cut, grind, and assemble components according to specifications
  • Use hand and power tools (drill, saw, grinder) for fabrication tasks
  • Assist other team members with urgent tasks to meet production deadlines
  • Wrap and detail units before shipping; build crates as required
  • Support Shipping/Receiving department with loading and unloading
  • Follow all safety codes, regulations, and company practices
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management


Qualifications

  • Strong English communication skills (reading, writing, speaking)
  • Able to complete basic documentation such as work orders or checklists
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and measurements
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision or as part of a team
  • Strong mechanical skills and problem-solving ability
  • Physically fit and able to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly throughout the day
  • Comfortable with standing, bending, climbing, and working on your feet for long periods
  • Able to work in hot, cold, or noisy environments
  • Valid driver's license
  • Willingness to work overtime and weekends when required


Experience

  • Forklift, Overhead crane or skid steer experience (Asset)
  • Experience in manufacturing, construction, Carpentryor trades (asset)
  • Own basic tools (drill, grinder) or willingness to purchase through company tool program
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings (asset)
  • Forklift experience (asset)
  • WHMIS or safety certifications (asset)
