Job description

Peak Workforce Solutions (Newbold) is looking for General Laborers in the Greenville, SC area.
Hourly pay is $17.
SUMMARY:
A General Laborer is responsible for conducting various tasks to support other workers in warehouses, construction sites, and factories. They assist other crew members by delivering the materials and equipment necessary to complete projects on time.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Cleaning up worksites from debris and machinery
• Helping erect scaffolding and ladders
• Assist welders, carpenters, painters or other tradespeople on-site
• Handle and transport materials (e.g. cement) and equipment (e.g. drills and grinders)
• Use power tools and machinery (e.g. forklifts) when needed
• Follow instructions from supervisors to perform manual labor tasks (e.g. digging, stacking up goods)
• Help with setting up and transferring temporary structures (e.g. scaffolding)
• Report issues with equipment or unsafe conditions
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (standing for long periods of time, lifting heavy loads of up to 50 pounds etc.)
• Good hand-eye coordination
• Familiarity with power tools and machinery is a plus
• Communication and teamwork skills
• Commitment to safety rules
• Must have reliable transportation
• A strong work ethic
• The ability to work alone or within a team is a must.
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Working conditions will be in an outside environment. Work may involve some lifting of materials and product up to 50 pounds. Must be able to hear, speak, reach, bend, twist, squat, push and pull. Must be able to perform tasks in a standing position for extended periods of time.
