Job description

This is a 1st shift assembly/production/manufacturing position, with hours from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday-Friday with no weekends; paid weekly.
  • For the 1st 60 days: $17.00/hour
  • 60 days pay increase: $17.75/hour to $17.90/hour
  • Six (6) month pay increase: $18.50/hour to $18.80/hour
  • Annual performance-based increase

We are looking for a mechanically inclined person for our production floor at Duo-Safety-Ladder Corporation.
Duties include:
  • Frequent operation of hand tools and/or machine operation
  • Manually move product from one location to the next.
  • Assemble parts with use of hand tools
  • Ability to read and follow standardized work instructions

Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is continuously required to stand. The employee is frequently required to use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, grasp tools and controls. The employee is continuously required to stand/walk and reach with hands and arms, bend/twist, and push/pull.
The employee must continuously lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move objects between 25 pounds and 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move objects between 50 and 75 pounds. Assistance will be required in lifting and/or carrying objects over 75 pounds.
Post-offer, pre-employment drug screen and physical exam required. HS/GED required.
The employee will work in a factory environment which requires the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): safety glasses and hearing protection.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to communicate effectively with other employees of the organization. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to read a tape measure, problem solve, and trouble shoot. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is continuously required to stand. The employee continuously is required to use hand to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, and controls. The employee is continuously required to walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, and talk or hear.
