Summary This is the first of two levels in the Labor series. Incumbents perform manual labor related to the maintenance of Parish roads, grounds and buildings. Responsibilities may include mowing; weed eating; trimming trees; picking up litter; sweeping; mopping; shoveling, raking and pouring asphalt; flagging traffic; driving a pickup truck; and completing routine maintenance on vehicles, buildings and equipment.

Responsibilities are performed under direct supervision and within well-defined practices and procedures. UNIFORM An employee in this position will be supplied with a uniform, provided by the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury. The employee is responsible for abiding by the Police Jury's Uniform Agreement.
