Job description

The General Laborer supports various projects by assisting with the installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment. This role is responsible for measuring, cutting, and installing wire and conduit, performing basic electrical repairs, and disassembling defective equipment as needed. The General Laborer also safely operates hand and power tools, provides assistance with lifting and positioning materials, and ensures a clean, safe, and productive work environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Electrical Support & Installation:
  • Measure, cut, and bend wire and conduit
  • Drill holes and pull/push wiring through openings as required for installation
  • Help lift, position, and fasten wiring, conduit, motors, and related materials

Repairs & Maintenance:
  • Perform basic repairs, such as replacing fuses, light sockets, switches, and bulbs
  • Disassemble defective electrical equipment to support troubleshooting and repair work

Tools & Equipment:
  • Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and other equipment necessary to complete assigned tasks
  • Maintain tools and equipment in proper working condition

Safety/Hazard Recognition & Elimination:
  • Pre-plan and identify the methods to eliminate hazards daily by work task.
  • Execute skill in observing habits and hazards of others and bringing it to their attention.
  • Uphold safety as the most important goal of our company. Support goal of achieving zero accidents.
  • Promote and encourage open communication between field and office regarding all safety concerns, suggestions, improvements, and PPE needed.
  • Obtain safety training as expected by all company personnel.

Qualifications and Requirements
  • High School Diploma (or equivalent) required
  • No experience necessary
