The Building People, LLC seeks General Laborers to perform a variety of routine manual and physical work tasks in support of government facility construction and maintenance projects. The General Laborer supports a wide range of physical duties including assisting skilled tradespeople, operating power equipment, and performing general site support tasks. The key requirement for this position is that duties are physical in nature and directly support facility operations and project execution.

Required Experience & Skills

  • Physical fitness and ability to perform sustained manual labor including standing, walking, bending, carrying, and lifting
  • Ability to safely support and assist plumbers, electricians, and skilled tradespeople on facility projects
  • Ability to operate common hand tools and power equipment as directed
  • Demonstrated reliability and commitment to safety in a physical work environment
  • All personnel must obtain and maintain a Public Trust (Level 3) security clearance.

Preferred Experience & Skills

  • Prior experience in construction, facilities maintenance, or a similar manual labor environment
  • Familiarity with basic safety practices on construction and maintenance project sites
  • Prior work experience on federal government facilities or similar controlled environments

Required Education

  • High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) preferred; or demonstrated ability to perform required physical tasks

Preferred Education

  • Vocational or trade school training in a construction or facilities-related discipline
  • OSHA 10-Hour Construction or General Industry certification
