Job description

**Job Summary:**
The General Maintenance Helper plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our school sites by performing essential maintenance and repairs on a variety of equipment and systems. This position encompasses a wide range of tasks, including working on vehicles and basic carpentry, all while maintaining a safe and efficient environment. This position can be based out of our Green Bay or Appleton location. Travel is required to all locations with a company-provided vehicle.

**Supervisory Responsibilities:**
None.

**Duties/Responsibilities:**
- Conduct thorough inspections to identify equipment or machines that require repair, demonstrating keen attention to detail.
- Troubleshoot issues effectively to determine the most appropriate and efficient repairs.
- Execute general repairs with skill and precision, ensuring quality work at all times.
- Carry out routine maintenance on building systems to keep everything running smoothly.
- Maintain cleanliness and contribute to the upkeep of our facilities, creating a welcoming atmosphere for all.
- Proactively order necessary supplies and materials to support timely repairs and maintenance.
- Assist in various maintenance tasks, such as performing oil changes, checking tires and brakes, and engaging in related responsibilities.
- Test drive vehicles to confirm that repairs have been thoroughly completed and meet our high standards.
- Keep detailed maintenance and repair logs for our vehicles, ensuring accurate records.
- Undertake other related duties as assigned, exhibiting flexibility and a commitment to teamwork.
