Job description

Adecco is immediately hiring Firewatch/General Helper professionals for a crew at a new gold mining encampment out near Yellow Pine, ID. As a Firewatch/General Helper professional, you will walk around the facility grounds every 2 hours to monitor and ensure safety and compliance with all policies, procedures and guidelines. In between rounds you will be a general helper for the kitchen and housekeeping duties
Pay Rate: $18/hour
Schedules: Day Shift 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. MST; Night Shift 8:00 p.m. – 8:00 a.m. MST; Rotational – 2 weeks on 2 weeks off –
START DATE: ASAP
Benefits: Room & board, meals, and transportation up the hill provided by the company
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide continuous general help and quality assurance support for the small camp and tent facility.
  • Maintain 24 hour fire watch coverage with patrols every two hours.
  • Monitor heaters, generators, cords, outlets, fuel systems, and potential structural hot spots.
  • Keep detailed fire watch logs and respond immediately to hazards or emergencies.
  • Ensure emergency exits, suppression systems, and safety equipment remain clear and functional.
  • Observe vehicles for leaks, spills, or environmental concerns.
  • Enforce all posted camp rules, including prohibitions on alcohol and disrespectful behavior.
  • Monitor badge scanning during meal services.
  • Document activities through daily and weekly reports and complete incident reports as needed.
  • Adhere to OSHA requirements and all applicable Idaho state and federal standards.
  • Communicate regularly with camp management for updates, direction, and incident escalation.
  • Support integration with operational partners and required protocols.
  • Monitor all entry and exit points to ensure controlled access.
  • Perform general cleaning, organizing, and facility upkeep as needed to maintain a safe and orderly camp environment.
Skills and Competencies
  • At least 1 year of similar work experience in a QA/QC role, Site Supervisor-type role
  • Ability to deescalate tense situations
  • Good mechanical aptitude and understanding of building components and equipment
  • Ability to be outside in all weather-types
  • Ability to prioritize, multitask, and work independently or as part of a team
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Good organizational and time management skills

Pay Details: $18.00 per hour
