Job description

Openwork is currently engaged in a search to find a hardworking Machine Helper in Canton, GA. In this active and hands-on role, you will be responsible for keeping production machinery running smoothly by feeding raw materials, unbundling product, and assisting machine operators in a fast-paced corrugated cardboard manufacturing facility. In a Machine Helper job, you’ll be responsible for:
  • Loading raw cardboard and materials directly onto production conveyors and machine feeds.
  • Unbundling, sorting, and staging incoming corrugated cardboard stock for automated machinery.
  • Assisting machine operators with setup, continuous operation, and line changeovers.
  • Offloading finished packaging product from machinery, bundling, and preparing items for palletizing.
  • Performing frequent heavy lifting and manual handling of materials throughout the day.
  • Inspecting materials on the line to catch and remove defective product quickly.
  • Clearing jams, removing waste materials, and keeping the work area safe and organized.
