Family Wise Counseling, LLC is seeking a dedicated and empathetic Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our dynamic team. This full-time position allows you to work remotely while delivering invaluable support to individuals impacted by trauma. You will play a key role in helping clients navigate their mental health journeys, specifically focusing on the complexities of trauma recovery.

Family Wise Counseling is a reputable outpatient mental health practice located in Gresham, Oregon. We are committed to providing exceptional care tailored to the needs of trauma survivors. We specialize in treating conditions such as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders, ensuring our clients receive comprehensive support as they move toward healing.

This position offers a remote work setting, providing flexibility and the opportunity to create a personalized workspace. While remote, our therapists remain deeply connected to our clients and the multidisciplinary team through virtual meetings, case consultations, and collaborative case management. You will adhere to organizational policies while maintaining a focus on delivering high-quality therapeutic services.

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed assessments to evaluate clients’ unique experiences and histories, informing effective treatment plans.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that prioritize trauma recovery, resilience-building, and coping strategies.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic models including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to guide client sessions.
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy that enables clients to process their traumatic experiences in a safe and supportive environment.
• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated and holistic care.
• Offer crisis intervention and immediate support to clients in trauma-related emergencies.
• Educate clients and their families about trauma responses, effective coping mechanisms, and available community resources.
• Maintain thorough and confidential documentation in alignment with regulatory standards and ensure clear communication across all channels of care.
• Engage in ongoing professional development through training, workshops, and team meetings focused on trauma-informed practices.
• Stay updated with current research and best practices in trauma therapy to continuously enhance the effectiveness of therapeutic interventions.

Our clients include diverse individuals who have faced varying degrees of trauma, including but not limited to childhood abuse, domestic violence, and traumatic events in adulthood. Many clients experience PTSD, depression, anxiety, and related conditions. As a therapist, you will work intimately with these individuals, guiding them towards recovery and empowering them to rebuild their lives.

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A current license in the state of Oregon as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT is mandatory.
• Demonstrated knowledge and practical experience with trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed intervention strategies.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish trust and rapport with clients from various backgrounds.
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to clearly convey therapeutic content and document client progress.
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and general computer applications for managing patient information and documentation.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and contribute to a collaborative care environment.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a clinical mental health setting is preferred.
• Previous experience working with trauma-affected populations using specific trauma-focused methodologies.
• A history of providing group therapy or psychoeducational workshops is highly beneficial.
