Pay: Hourly
Position Details: Monday - Friday 7 am - 4 pm
Job Description: This summer internship experience is designed to broaden the knowledge and understanding of an aviation operating environment and includes internships in various areas. The internship is meant to give students realistic exposure to the work environment and decision-making opportunities. By applying to the Summer 2026 Internship Program, you are expressing interest in the internship program and could be considered for other internship opportunities where similar skills and requirements have been identified as a match. Possible internships include Facilities, Logistics, and Engineering. The internship program runs late-May/ early-June to Mid-August.
Timeline: Applications will be reviewed following the closure of the application. Due to the high volume of applicants, please expect to hear back from us in a few weeks.
Housing Requirements: All internships are on-site at KVBW Bridgewater. If you reside in a different state, you will need to relocate to be considered for an internship.
Eligibility Qualifications: Interns must be enrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college/university and have at least 1 full semester remaining after the internship. Interns must be available to work 40 hours a week for 10 weeks in Summer 2026.
Facilities (2 openings)
Job Responsibilities:
  • Learn assigned department processes and procedures

  • Assist in processing paperwork for functional area according to established procedures

  • Work individually or in a team under the guidance and instruction of the department supervisor

  • Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean environment

  • Operate power equipment (mowers, weed eaters, floor scrubbers, etc.)

  • Routine inspections of the facility grounds, signage, equipment labeling

  • General cleaning and cleanliness of facility

  • Mowing, weeding, mulching, and landscaping

  • Operating zero turn mowers, string trimmers, and power tools

  • General organization of hangar facilities, keeping them neat and organized.

  • General facilities maintenance such as painting and repairing windows, doors, floors, woodwork, plaster, drywall, and other parts of building structures as needed

  • Basic mechanical activities performed is desired

  • Minor repair and maintenance of shop tools/equipment as needed

  • Assist in setting up for events

  • Attend all intern events

  • Contribute to company hosted events

  • Local to the Bridgewater area or willing to commute as necessary

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
  • College student of any major and class

  • Ability to operate power equipment & tools

  • Ability to adapt/respond appropriately to changing circumstances

Logistics Team Internships:
  • Warehousing

  • Assist in processing paperwork for functional area according to established procedures

  • Work individually or in a team under the guidance and instruction of the department supervisor

  • Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean environment

  • Maintain accurate Inventory Records and Stock Levels

  • Follow directions and remain on task with minimal direct supervision

  • Maintain incoming and outgoing parts transactions and movements

  • Assist warehousing team in warehouse cleanup and working large scale projects

  • Conduct inventory research

  • Partner and communicate with various departments

  • Provide service for internal and external customers

  • Participate in special projects

  • Keep and maintain designated Logistics area neat, clean, and orderly

  • Properly stock/shelve aircraft parts in a warehouse environment

  • Properly label, package, and box aircraft parts for inventory

Qualifications:
  • College student of any major and class

  • Exceptional organizational and collaboration skills as demonstrated through leadership positions

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel preferred), and various company software programs

  • Ability to read and understand aircraft parts and maintenance manuals for research purposes; knowledge of aviation terminology a plus

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to learn new processes and materials quickly

  • Ability to work productively and efficiently without distraction in a fast-paced atmosphere to achieve deadlines

  • Ability to operate a forklift (no previous experience needed)

  • Ability to adapt/respond appropriately to changing circumstances

  • Physical ability to:

  • Lift, balance, and carry a minimum of 50 lbs.

  • Stand for an extended period of time on a concrete floor

  • Work in harsh environmental conditions (extreme heat)

Engineering (2 openings)
Job Responsibilities:
  • Learn assigned department processes and procedures

  • Assist in processing paperwork for functional area according to established procedures

  • Work individually or in a team under the guidance and instruction of the department supervisor, manager, and team leads

  • Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean environment

  • Prepare and provide approval for engineering data in accordance to FAA, customer, and company specifications

  • Track and maintain engineering and modification request forms

  • Assist in coordinating activities and schedules of other engineering or technical personnel on various projects, as needed.

  • Obtain and Prepare approval for engineering data in accordance to customer specifications

  • Coordinate material shipping and receiving for engineering (prototypes, materials, components)

  • Assist with modifications and repairs where needed

  • Assist with support projects to improve productivity inside and outside the department

  • Interact with other engineers, managers, and clients

  • Attend all intern events

  • Contribute to company hosted events

  • Local to the Bridgewater area or willing to commute as necessary

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
  • Rising Junior or Senior enrolled in a Bachelor's Degree program in Engineering

  • Experience with AutoCAD and SolidWorks

  • Database/spreadsheet experience

  • The ability to work in a fast paced, ever-changing environment

  • The ability to adapt quickly to new instructions

  • Must be self-motivated and willing to think outside of the box to solve problems

  • Exceptional organizational and collaboration skills as demonstrated through leadership positions

  • Strong technical experiences as demonstrated through technical projects, research or engineering internships

Pay is $12.77 per hour.
