General Beverage Sales Co. (GB) is a business-to-business wholesale distributor of wine, distilled spirits, beer, soda, bottled water and non-alcoholic beverages. Established in 1933, GB has been family-owned ever since. We currently operate in all of Wisconsin's 72 counties as consultants to over 11,000 licensed retail business customers helping them to profitably select, promote, merchandise, and sell consumer products in the beverage category. We proudly employ 900 employees across the State of Wisconsin.ย  Our mission is to be the trusted distributor partner of our suppliers and customers in order to advance our collective beverage business and support the growth of our family of employees.ย 



JOB DESCRIPTION: The Warehouse Night Associate works in the warehouse and picks and builds orders, loads trucks, moves inventory and operates warehouse equipment.ย 


QUALIFICATIONS:ย 

  • Friendly and professional communication skills with ability to work collaboratively with internal and external teams and convey issues proactivelyย ย 
  • Dependable worker, arriving on time and ready to workย 
  • Solid attention to detail to ensure assignments are completed in a timely, efficient, and accurate manner while maintaining all safety standardsย ย 
  • Strong willingness to learn, develop and grow skill setย 
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and committed to best-in-class serviceย 
  • Acts with honesty and transparency and treats others with respect, dignity and fairnessย 
  • Builds rapport with colleagues and retailers, and is welcoming to allย 
  • Able to reach, twist and bendย 
  • Able to lift up to 175 lbs. multiple times a dayย 
  • Able to work with and be certified with forklifts, order pickers and other warehouse product handling equipmentย 
  • Can read, write, add, subtract, multiply and divide at high school equivalency levelย 
  • Proficient using a computer or tablet and able to learn job specific programsย 
  • Valid driver's license preferred, government issued id requiredย 
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and lift testย 

Requirements

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:ย 

  • Report for work on time and appropriately dressed.???ย 
  • Load and unload route delivery trucks.ย 
  • Check route trucks in and out.ย 
  • Receive and ship products, equipment, merchandise, and supplies.ย 
  • Prepare all required reports promptly.ย 
  • Operate company equipment safely and according to company and OSHA guidelines.ย 
  • Adhere to supplier and company quality and freshness standards in inventory and loading practices.ย 
  • Maintain a clean warehouse environment.ย 
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor. ย
