Job description

Overview

GEICO is seeking a Territory Sales Manager to grow agency relationships and sales production for GEICO and affiliated products within an assigned area. The candidate must reside in or near Ft. Lauderdale, FL, and be able to travel within the state, with up to 40% overnight travel.

Responsibilities
  • Manage agents within a designated area of responsibility using in-person, virtual, phone, and email to build relationships, deliver training, and manage agency performance.
  • Act as a subject‑matter expert on GEICO and affiliated products, features, and tools, and maintain a clear understanding of competitor offerings to increase preference for GEICO products.
  • Takes national strategic initiatives and translates them into local goals and objectives to increase agent engagement, execution, and growth.
  • Delivers effective communications and assists agencies in developing local marketing plans and strategies to meet growth goals.
  • Uses data analysis to prepare pre‑call strategies to focus on the greatest opportunity within the designated area of responsibility and/or specific agency.
  • Monitors the performance of agents in relation to goals, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Conducts training of agency staff on GEICO and affiliated products, services, and value proposition.
  • Counsel agents and, with leadership support, take disciplinary action of agents up to and including termination.
  • Prospects, interviews, and approves new appointments to expand GEICO’s agency distribution.
  • Adheres to the GEICO Code of Conduct, company policies, and operating principles.
  • Meets attendance standards at the business location to perform necessary job functions and facilitate interaction with subordinates and management.
Requirements
  • Bilingual is required.
  • Must be able to perform essential functions including seeing, hearing, typing, and speaking, with or without accommodation.
  • Must be able to meet in person and virtually.
  • Must be able to follow complex instructions, resolve conflicts or facilitate conflict resolution, and have strong organization and priority‑setting skills.
  • Must be able to learn and apply large amounts of technical and procedural information.
  • Compliance with GEICO’s driving standards and/or policy. Valid driver’s license and auto insurance required.
Preferred Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or 5 years of sales or relevant insurance experience.
  • Prior experience owning and driving sales results.
  • Experience working with different lines of insurance (P&C, Commercial, Life & Health) a plus.
  • Bilingual preferred.
Salary

Annual salary range: $97,375.00 - $151,700.00. Final compensation is determined by scope and responsibilities, work experience, education, training, location, and market considerations.
