Job Summary
We are seeking a Wellness Center Instructor to join our successful wellness center. As a  Wellness Center Fitness Instructor, you will plan and lead fitness classes, ensuring that people of all fitness levels are able to participate. Your goal is to help clients reach their fitness objectives and have fun while doing it! The ideal candidate is a positive, engaging teacher with a passion for fitness.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (included, but not limited to):
·       Provide customer service though: interacting with Wellness Center visitors, assisting with spotting, educating participants on how to use equipment, and answering questions.
·       Ensure the fitness area remain clean and organized; organize dumbbells, weight plates, and bars. Disinfect and clean equipment. 
·       Perform opening/closing procedures of the fitness floor and cardio areas.
·       Actively supervise the fitness and cardio areas. 
·       Maintain a clean and tidy workspace.
·       Serve as a first responder in emergency situations and follow emergency protocols set by the Wellness Center management. 
·       Attend mandatory meetings and trainings.
·       Actively market and promote current facilities and programs hosted by the Wellness Team and HR Operations.
  • Update and maintain various logs
  • Manage the intake process and notify appropriate staff of members and guests
  • Ensure a systematic flow of traffic throughout the Wellness Center
  • Types, proofreads, and edits correspondence, reports, and requisitions
  • Assists with projects, including but not limited to records maintenance and data interpretation
  • Compiles and processes data to maintain routine periodic reports
  • Establishes, organizes, and maintains assigned records
  • Resolves questions; refers questions with policy and procedure implications to the appropriate staff member
  • Answers telephone, processes mail, and utilizes various office equipment.
  • Lead a wide variety of classes for wellness center members and guests

Qualifications
  • High school diploma/GED required
  • Current personal trainer or fitness instructor certification
  • Knowledge of physiology, exercise technique, and body mechanics is preferred 
  • First aid and CPR-certified
  • Positive, motivating, and effective interpersonal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Must be able to lift 45 lbs.
