GED Instructor / GED Teacher

Location: Pine Bluff, AR
Duration: 14 weeks
Schedule: Thursday, 3:00 PM – 4:30 PM (1st Shift)
Pay Rate: $40/hour on W2
Work Setting: On-site

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced GED Instructor / GED Teacher to provide High School Equivalency (HSE/GED) instruction and test preparation to adult frontline employees at a facility.

The instructor will create an engaging, supportive, and inclusive learning environment while helping adult learners strengthen their academic skills and prepare for high school equivalency examinations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach High School Equivalency (GED/HSE) curriculum and test preparation to adult learners.
  • Provide instruction in core subject areas, including:
    • Reading
    • Mathematics
    • Science
    • Social Studies
  • Develop, create, and adapt instructional materials appropriate for adult learners and course requirements.
  • Provide clear, concise explanations and directions to support student understanding and progress.
  • Maintain an organized and engaging classroom environment.
  • Attend program partner meetings, faculty meetings, and required training sessions.
  • Participate in recruitment events and culminating activities to promote student engagement and program participation.
  • Support students from diverse educational, cultural, and professional backgrounds.
  • Maintain appropriate course documentation and student-related records.
  • Use Microsoft Office tools for course preparation, communication, documentation, and administrative activities.
Required Qualifications
