Position Summary

The General Education Teacher is responsible for delivering high-quality, standards-aligned instruction to students in a supportive and engaging classroom environment. This role focuses on fostering academic achievement, promoting positive student behavior, and supporting the overall development of each student.

Key ResponsibilitiesInstruction & Planning
  1. Develop and implement engaging, standards-based lesson plans aligned with state and school curriculum
  2. Use a variety of instructional strategies to meet the diverse needs of students
  3. Incorporate technology and innovative teaching methods into instruction
  4. Assess student learning regularly and adjust instruction accordingly
Classroom Management
  1. Establish and maintain a structured, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment
  2. Set clear expectations for student behavior and consistently enforce them
  3. Promote a positive classroom culture that supports student engagement and success
Student Assessment & Progress Monitoring
  1. Administer formative and summative assessments
