Job description

JOB SUMMARY
Serve as a functional expert for GE Proficy MES solutions, working closely with manufacturing, quality, and operations teams to gather requirements, design functional solutions, support testing, and ensure successful MES deployments aligned with industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the functional subject matter expert for MES solutions across manufacturing environments
  • Lead MES requirement-gathering workshops with manufacturing, quality, and operations stakeholders
  • Translate business and manufacturing requirements into detailed MES functional specifications
  • Validate MES designs to ensure alignment with standard manufacturing processes and best practices
  • Understand existing MES solutions and demonstrate capabilities to new plants, sectors, and business units
  • Identify functional gaps, document gaps, and provide solutions to close the gaps
  • Provide functional expertise in GE Proficy MES configuration and deployment
  • Support Proficy MES functions including:
  • Production execution and work order management
  • Material consumption and genealogy
  • Performance analysis and reporting
  • Guide configuration of unit procedures, operations, data collection, and workflows
  • Define test strategies, prepare UAT test cases, and lead User Acceptance Testing
  • Review defects, prioritize issues by severity, and ensure timely resolution
  • Support production issues, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives
Required Skills & Experience
  • Strong experience in MES functional consulting within manufacturing environments
  • Hands-on experience with GE Proficy MES
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality, and operations
  • Experience in MES configuration, deployment, and testing activities
  • Ability to translate business requirements into functional specifications
  • Experience supporting production issues and continuous improvement initiatives
Preferred Skills
  • Experience supporting multi-site or global MES implementations
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
