Job Summary:
PingWind is focused on delivering outstanding services to the federal government, and they are seeking a highly experienced Cloud Cybersecurity Subject Matter Expert to provide strategic and hands-on cybersecurity leadership. The role involves guiding cloud cybersecurity practices, ensuring compliance with federal standards, and supporting secure cloud operations within a dynamic defense environment.
Responsibilities:
• Minimum of eight years of experience in managing cybersecurity projects of similar size and complexity to this requirement within a cloud environment.
• Minimum of eight years of experience with the NIST RMF, NIST SP 800-53, STIGs, SCAP, IAVAs, and FISMA
• Serve as the principal advisor on cybersecurity risks, vulnerabilities, and mitigation strategies in cloud environments.
• Lead implementation of cybersecurity frameworks, standards, and best practices including NIST RMF and NIST SP 800-53.
• Ensure system compliance with DoD and federal cybersecurity standards such as STIGs, SCAP, IAVAs, and FISMA.
• Support incident handling, vulnerability assessment, system recovery, and defensive cyber operations.
• Continuously assess cybersecurity posture and lead proactive measures for threat detection and mitigation.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Must possess a favorably adjudicated Tier 5 investigation
• Possess one of the following certifications: CISM, Certified Information Systems Security Officer (CISSO), Federal IT Security Professional-Manager (FITSP-M), GIAC Certified Intrusion Analyst Certification (GCIA), GIAC Cloud Security Automation (GCSA), GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH), GIAC Security Leadership Certification (GSLC), Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional Certification (GICSP), CISSP- Information Systems Security Management Professional (ISSMP), or CISSP
• Bachelor’s degree Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience managing complex cybersecurity projects in a cloud environment.
• Minimum of eight years of experience with the NIST RMF, NIST SP 800-53, STIGs, SCAP, IAVAs, and FISMA
Preferred:
• Master’s Degree
• Minimum of eight years of experience supporting DoD defensive cyber operational activities, including, but not limited to, information system protection, defense, response (incident handling), reporting, and recovery.
• Minimum of eight years of experience analyzing, assessing, and implementing corrective actions based on vulnerability management and penetration testing.
