Senior Procurement Manager – Marketing & Sales Indirect Procurement North America
Hybrid Role: 3 days onsite and 2 remote
Duration: Up to 9 months, possible extension
Location: Parsippany, NJ
Temp to Perm: Yes based on openings and performance

Core essential Skills:
a) Experience in marketing & sales category, ideally Creative Agencies and Media. 5 years of experience would be ideal.
b) Some that is pro-active with strong negotiation skills, strong communication, organized and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously. A strong sourcing background, with robust understanding of supplier relationship management, RFP and stakeholder management is ideal.
c) Background in pharma or similar industry is not required but good to have.
d) Indirect procurement. Collaborate with finance, legal, marketing, sales.
Negotiate scope of work with suppliers.
e) Holding business reviews, supplier evaluations. Identify opportunities for new supplier negotiations
f) Think outside the box - strategic, creative ways to resolve relationship issues. Manages relationships well
Position Summary:
This position will report to the Director, Global Marketing & Sales Indirect Procurement – Agencies, Media & Digital, and will take the leadership to execute Category Strategies for the North America region. Primary responsibility will be to lead and execute procurement and sourcing related activities across Media, Digital and Agencies, in alignment with Global Category Strategies.
The person will collaborate with the Global Category Managers (GCMs) and will provide support on Global Category Strategies development while leading local execution for North America region in alignment with corporate strategy and financial goals.
The person will be responsible for local stakeholder engagement, strong interface and collaboration with Global Category Managers (GCMs) and North America execution for categories including, but not limited to: Media, Digital, Creative and Public Relation Agencies, Marketing Analytics, Marketing Consulting, and other various Marketing expenses and professional services.
Key Responsibilities:
• Local Category support and execution for marketing and sales categories and professional services; including data gathering, SRM and stakeholder management.
• Negotiate and implement the defined Global Category Strategy for North America and ensure the strategy and execution plan is aligned within Procurement and stakeholders.
• Assist in sourcing strategy implementation and selection of suppliers.
• Support the creation and lead execution of local sourcing strategies in alignment with Global Category Managers.
• Analyze and produce reports on supplier spend data, sourcing initiatives and targeted/achieved savings.
• Identify potential sources of supply and conduct Request for Proposal (RfP), Requests for Quotation (RfQ), Ariba E-Auctions, quotation analysis and cost modeling aligned with Global Category Strategy.
• Stakeholder management.
• Conduct comprehensive supplier evaluations, contract negotiations, and proactively manage supplier relationships (including, but not limited to SRMs, scorecards, 360’ surveys, etc.)
• Manage and maintain relationship with suppliers to maximize value and performance.
• Support supplier risk and sustainability assessments and develop mitigation plan as needed.
• Support diversity initiatives.
• Prepare supporting documentation and presentations on local procurement projects for review and approval.
• Support contract negotiations and management including successful execution of contracts, ensuring proper coordination with the internal legal team and managing on-going stakeholder contracting needs.
• Analyze and monitor market trends and supplier landscape, staying informed about innovation and trends in the Marketing/Agencies category.
• Provide local support to Global Category Managers (GCMs) as needed.
• Ensure all procurement activities align with company policies, industry standards, and legal regulations.
• Liaise with Legal, Regulatory, Finance, IT and other functions as needed.
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree preferably in Procurement, Marketing, Finance or related Business discipline.
• CPM Certification preferred but not required.
Key Requirements:
• Minimum 5 years of Indirect Procurement/sourcing experience and a minimum of 3 years procurement experience. Prefer experience in a pharma environment. Experience in Marketing operations, Brand Management, Agency Management, Professional Services, HR, IT, R&D Indirect Goods & Services desirable.
• Experience leading and supporting categories within Marketing & Sales and Professional Services Procurement and experience leading and supporting other Indirect areas such as IT, HR, Legal, and R&D Indirect.
• Deep experience with sourcing processes and tools including the 7-step sourcing process.
• Deep experience in working on a cross-functional procurement environment.
• Experience drafting and managing the RFP process.
• Experience in managing SRM process.
• Experience with continuous improvement and optimization programs.
• Strong stakeholder and influencing skills.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
• Strong negotiation and analytic skills.
• Experience producing high quality analytics and performing complex spend analysis.
• Working knowledge of marketing operations, agency management and overall Indirect Procurement categories.
• Working knowledge of interface with Global Category Leaders.
• Ability to navigate through a complex multi-brand organization, with multiple stakeholders and Global Category Managers (GCMs).
