As a Security Officer - Construction Gatehouse in Mesa, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and respond to security-related concerns. You will maintain a visible presence, conduct routine patrols, help deter incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, contractors, delivery personnel, and visitors by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at an industrial construction location.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorizations, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and communicate access concerns to appropriate site contacts.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, work areas, parking areas, and the property perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
  • Document daily activities, incidents, access-control issues, and observations in clear, accurate reports.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
