Location: Port Clinton, OH Employment Type: Seasonal (Typically May-October) Primary Work Schedule: Thursdays-Sundays & Summer Holidays Reports To: Club Manager / Operations Manager
Position Overview
The Catawba Island Club, a private resort-style club located on the shores of Lake Erie, is seeking a professional and courteous Seasonal Front Gate Attendant for the boating season. This highly visible role serves as the first point of contact for members, guests, employees, and vendors and plays a key role in maintaining the Club's secure and welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor vehicle and pedestrian traffic serving as the primary entry point for members, guests, vendors and staff, while greeting all in a warm, professional manner
  • Verify member credentials, guest lists, and authorized access, while logging activity accurately
  • Provide directions and general Club information
  • Communicate arrivals and concerns to Club staff
  • Enforce Club access rules, policies and confidentiality standards courteously and consistently
  • Monitor gate areas for safety and report any security concerns
  • Maintain a clean and organized gatehouse area

Schedule Requirements
  • Primary workdays are Thursdays through Sundays
  • Availability required for summer holidays (including Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day)
  • Shifts may include mornings, afternoons, and evenings
  • Extended hours may be required during peak weekends and special events
