Night Auditor at Marriott San Diego Gaslamp Quarter

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Night Auditor to join our team at Marriott San Diego Gaslamp Quarter. As a Night Auditor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel during the overnight hours. Your primary responsibilities will include auditing financial records, providing guest services, and ensuring the safety and security of the premises. This is a Full Time position (30-40 hours) that pays $27.27 per hour. Overtime eligible. This position is eligible for group health benefits including Medical, Dental and more. Must be able to work the graveyard shift (typically 11pm-7:30am), including weekends and holidays. This position will train as an hourly Guest Service Agent with a pay rate of $26.27 per hour. Essential Job Duties:

  • Welcomes and registers Guests according to Brand Standards and hotel procedures.
  • Check departing Guests out of the hotel according to Brand Standards and hotel procedures.
  • Answer all guest questions accurately and resolve problems in a timely manner ensuring guest satisfaction.
  • Authorize revenue allowances as allowed by hotel policy.
  • Resolve guest problems and complaints.
  • Ensures total guest satisfaction.
  • Answer phone lines and assist/direct guests where needed.
  • Follow supervisor's instructions and performs other duties as directed or assigned.
  • Complete tasks on daily checklist which includes, but is not limited to: Monitor for customer care cases, guest chats and work orders. Reconcile, balance, audit and/or post all receipts, charges, rooms, etc. Run "End of Day" reports. Close the day. Completes Management reports and distributes accordingly. Maintain Gift Shop to standards including reviewing of placing orders, receiving supplies, restocking shelves and inventory (including alcohol fridge) Review Front Desk Passdown(s) when coming on shift and record pertinent information as needed throughout shift. Communicate with other hotel departments to maintain a high level of guest satisfaction. Maintain and adhere to policies regarding handling of cash bank. Process mail, messages, faxes and packages. Review and respond to guest comments and requests as needed to third party websites including, but not limited to Booking.com, and Expedia Partner Central. Be a Team Player and encourage the teamwork attitude among staff. Attends department and inter-departmental meetings as needed or required.
