Job description

Oil & Gas Lab Sales Representative

The Oil & Gas Sales Representative is responsible for representing the entire range of FESCO lab services to assigned accounts, while leading the customer account planning cycle and ensuring customers' needs are met.

Job Duties:

  • Personally visit client sites and offices the area of operations to generate sales, maintain and develop relationships to expand current customer base and grow customer base
  • Locate new customer relationships by networking and cold calling
  • Develops relationships with potential new clients and expands relationships with existing clients
  • Proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates customer needs on an ongoing basis
  • Closes new business deals by prospecting leads, developing and negotiating pricing, and closing sales and repeat order relationships
  • Networks through various industry and social events. Familiar with Gas Processing Association (GPA) sampling and analytical methods. Familiar with Bureau Land Management (BLM) rules and regulations. Familiar with Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) air permit regulations
  • Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential, and using discretion, sound judgement and professionalism at all times
  • Responsible for participating in the development of technical manuals and sales literature, assists in technical sales presentations or provides technical presentations directly to customers
  • Recommends product or service enhancements to improve customer satisfaction and sales potential
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills/Qualifications: Selling and closing skills, sales planning, time management, keen to customer needs, market knowledge, meeting sales goals, professionalism, reporting, prior oilfield lab sales experience is preferred

Education and/or Experience

  • BA/BS degree preferred. Minimum 5 years of oil & gas industry experience preferred
  • Strong communication skills required in order to interface with various levels within the company and with clients
  • Relies on extensive industry experience and independent judgement to plan and accomplish goals
  • Ability to interact effectively with clients and company personnel in order to provide information and technical support
  • Microsoft Office including EXCEL, PowerPoint and Outlook is required
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Verifiable client listing
  • Valid driver's license and a good driving record required
  • Remote work location with required travel
