Gas Plant Operator
Overview
The Gas Plant Operator is required to operate and maintain facilities. The Gas Plant Operator will perform day-to-day activities to sustain plant up-time and product quality specifications requirements. This position ensures plant manufacturing processing and compliance with Occupational Health & Safety Administration (OSHA) and local government related compliance activities.
Responsibilities
  • Monitor, operate, adjust, repair, and upgrade equipment to maximize gas production in a safe and environmentally compliant manner.
  • Execute proper startup and shutdown procedures for production systems, maintaining compliance with safety protocols and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with the team to optimize production processes, identifying opportunities for efficiency improvements.
  • Conduct routine checks and tests to ensure the quality of manure and product gas meet specified standards. Troubleshoot and address issues affecting product quality promptly.
  • Perform regular maintenance tasks on plant equipment, including troubleshooting and coordinating repairs to minimize downtime.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and procedures, promoting a culture of safety among team members.
  • Maintain accurate records of plant operations, including production data, equipment status, and maintenance activities.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or relevant coursework is a plus.
  • Proven experience in operating and maintaining industrial equipment.
  • Strong understanding of Renewable Natural Gas production processes and equipment.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures in an industrial setting.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve technical issues independently.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Physical & Safety Requirements?
  • Requires operation of heavy equipment.?
  • Requires employee to stand for up to 80% of the time.?
  • Requires employees to climb ladders or stairs to inspect and repair equipment.
  • Must be able to lift and/or move 80 - 95 pounds.
  • High noise environment (>85dbA) will occur with ear protection.?
  • This position requires working in outdoor environment consisting of wet, and/or humid conditions as well as extreme heat and extreme cold.?
  • Requires employees to climb heights of at least 10 feet moving and maintaining self in different positions-stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and small spaces.?
  • Must wear all required PPE, including fire-retardant clothing, hard hats, face shields, hearing protection, safety glasses, steel-toed boots, and H2S monitor.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
