Job description

The Analyst will be responsible for supporting data governance, data quality, and analytics initiatives across Gas Operations systems. The role involves analyzing data across multiple platforms, developing and maintaining SQL queries and dashboards, and identifying and resolving data quality issues. The candidate will work closely with business and technical stakeholders to improve data reliability, reporting processes, and overall data usability. The candidate must be capable of working independently and collaboratively while contributing to ongoing efforts in data governance, system integration, and modern data platforms.

  • Develop and maintain SQL queries to extract, validate, and analyze data across multiple data sources.
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize reporting solutions, including dashboards, queries, and data extracts, to support operational and strategic decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain Python-based processes to support data transformation, automation, validation, and analysis.
  • Perform data validation, reconciliation, and root cause analysis to resolve discrepancies and improve accuracy across enterprise systems.
  • Support data governance and data quality initiatives, including monitoring data quality, documenting business rules and data definitions, and improving consistency and usability of reporting outputs.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining data quality metrics, scoring frameworks, and reporting standards to measure and track performance.
  • Maintain documentation related to data sources, workflows, reporting logic, and governance processes.
  • Support integration of data into modern data platforms (e.g., Fabric or Data Lake environments) and contribute to evolving data architecture and reporting capabilities.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve data quality, reporting processes, and overall data usability across the organization.
