What is a gas mask?

Gas masks are protective devices worn over the face to shield the wearer from inhaling airborne pollutants, toxic gases, and hazardous particles. They are commonly used by military personnel, first responders, and workers in environments where dangerous chemicals or biological agents may be present. Gas masks work by filtering out harmful substances through specially designed cartridges or filters. Their use is critical in situations such as chemical spills, industrial accidents, or during the use of tear gas. Proper fit and regular maintenance are essential for ensuring the effectiveness of a gas mask.
